Prep the tofu: Pat the Japanese tofu completely dry using paper towels.
Slice: Place chopsticks on either side of the tofu block as a guard, then slice into bite-sized pieces (the chopsticks prevent cutting all the way through, keeping the block intact for a neat presentation).
Coat with flour: Dust the crispy frying flour evenly over the tofu, making sure to get it into the slits between the pieces.
Oil: Place the tofu in an air fryer-safe dish and brush lightly with cooking oil all over.
Air fry: Cook in an air fryer at 190°C (375°F) for 15 minutes.
Make the sauce: While waiting, whisk together the shoyu, sesame oil, white sesame seeds, and black sesame seeds in a small bowl.
Serve: Once done, remove the tofu from the air fryer, drizzle the prepared sauce over the top, garnish with sliced green onions, and serve immediately.
